About Garry Brannigan
Then realisation dawns: for the endeavour to bring reward for both the photographer and the viewer, your image must convey the emotional impact of the landscape that first inspired you to create it. You move on further and begin to adopt an individual approach. Now photography is getting interesting, an expression of your personality. It reveals how you see the world, what you value in it. Decisions are made intuitively, your photography is becoming instinctive, spontaneous, unthinking. It is hard to explain why you have done something when it comes from the heart.
This is the point I have reached on my journey. I have a passion for being in wild, natural places and photography is how I express my feelings for those places. Like music, photography lends itself to the expression of things that are not easily explained in words. But I'm going to have a try.
